What are multi-graphs?

As a quick reminder: multi-graphs are report pages that contain more than one type of visualisation, on the same page. This allows you to view and compare more than one graph type, in a condensed format. And we've just introduced these to the Product graphs under Visualize.

Product graphs

The Product graphs under Visualize are some of our most powerful visualizations - drilling down into the transaction-level detail that reveals what is really moving the needle in your sales. Whether you're looking at which products are driving sales, the number of unique customers, percentage growth in quantity sold, or how much stock you have on hand, the Product graphs have you covered.

And now, for the first time, you are able to add multiple Product graphs to the same page in a report pack.

What's new

You can now attach multiple Products graphs to the same report page, with a host of customization options. Let's break these down per graph.

Top Products

  • Viewing frequency options: View your data for a specific frequency, such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.

  • Hone in on the details: Focus on either the top 3 or top 5 products for the period.

  • Make comparisons: Compare data to the prior period or the prior last year.

Product Sales Metrics

  • Viewing frequency options: View your data for a specific frequency, such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.

  • Choose specific metrics: Select which data with which to populate the graph.

  • Display multiple periods: Specify the number of periods to display.

  • Select specific products: Choose up to five products to focus on in entity-specific reports.

Note 📝: In template reports, you will see an aggregate of all your products. You can also switch to this view in entity-specific reports.

  • Make comparisons: Compare your data to the data for the prior period last year to identify what's changed, where you have improved, and where your sales may be dipping.

Cash flow graphs

Visualizing your cash flow empowers you to easily see the money that is coming into and going out of your business, helping you to better manage your cash and avoid any cash crunches. Seeing cash in vs cash out and net cash flow graphs side by side can be super useful in painting the full picture - and with our new multi-graph capabilities for the “Cash” section of Visualize, you can do just this.

What's new

This multi-graph consists of two visuals:

  • Cash in vs Cash out

  • Net cash flow

Alongside, color theme options, the date selector and data table toggle, cash flow multi-graphs have the following options:

  • Accounts selector - Only relevant in the Entity-specific report builder. Allows a user to select which accounts’ data must show in the visual

  • Trend options - Allows a user to select whether a trend line, or an average line, must show on the two visuals that make up the multigraph. The option “no trend” is selected by default.

Further considerations

As with other multi-graphs, Product and Cash Flow graphs can be added to both template and entity-specific reports.

Closing thoughts 💭

It's never been easier to keep tabs on your top products, product sales, and cash flow than with this new multi-graph functionality. So, give it a spin - add these to a report and see what you think.
