While some people may love to review long lists of numbers, for many of us, a graph is much easier to understand, especially at a glance. So, why not take the power of the Cash In and Cash Out sections of Cash Manager and visualize them?
Our team has recently developed a brand-new view for you to enjoy. This enhancement gives you the power to toggle between a table view and graph view to more easily see which transactions are impacting your cash flow. Whether you find it simpler to make sense of your cash data in a table or a graph, we've got you covered. Read on for all the details.
Where can you find this? π
Your starting point is Cash Manager, our powerful cash flow forecasting tool that can be found in the Forecast section on Syft. Within, this section, you will find three subsections: Overview, Cash In, and Cash Out. The latter two are where you will find the new graph options. Simply navigate to any of the following sections to try it out:
Cash In: Invoices, Recurring, Once-off, Customer view
Cash Out: Bills, Recurring, Once-off, Supplier view
What's new? π§
Just as there's a beautiful graphical view of your cash flow in the Overview section of Cash Manager, you can now unlock graphs across the other tabs in Cash In and Cash Out, helping you to better understand what's happening with your cash.
We have also introduced summary cards to help you decide what to show in each graph.
Note π: For recurring cash, you will see information about the first time period by default. However, you can change this to see information for next week, next month, etc.
Customers and suppliers ππΎββοΈ
The graphs for customers and suppliers are ordered from highest to lowest and allow for negative cash in or out. You can choose to view the top contacts, all, top 5, top 10, top 15, or top 20.
You can also hover over any bar in a graph to see a summary of the relevant contact.
Note π: Hovering over the labels will highlight the contact's bar and adjust the amount next to that bar.
Invoices and bills π΅
The Invoices Bills subsections work similarly to the other sections of Cash Manager in terms of the new graph option with one exception: you will see a bar on these graphs specifically for expired invoices or bills. In this way, you can immediately identify bills or invoices that have expired and which you may need to renegotiate or write off.
Adjust descriptions πͺ
In addition to the graphical view, we've now also made the description boxes for Recurring and Once-off cash editable. However, this is only applicable to transactions that have not been predicted by our AI engine. This also means that you can adjust the description within the Customer and Supplier view tables.
Note π: Changing the description of a transaction will not be logged as an adjustment.
Closing thoughts π
At Syft, we're big fans of visualizations and we know that our users are too. There's a reason they say that a picture is worth a thousand words. For many of us, visuals are easy to grasp at a glance than tables filled with numbers. This is why we are so excited to share this latest addition to the Cash Manager tool. I hope you will find these graphs beneficial.
