The Dashboard is one of the most popular features on Syft as it gives you the ability to clearly visualize critical data and share it with others in real-time. It's also a feature that we are constantly improving. In the past six months alone, we've enabled you to export whole Dashboards to the Connector, change the layout of your Dashboard with a simple drag-and-drop, add images to your Dashboards in case there are any graphs that are missing from Syft, and create multi-entity Dashboards for consolidations. Our latest update is the most exciting one yet! Introducing Chart to Excel.

What does this mean? πŸ€”

It's quite simple really. When working on your Dashboard, you now have the option to export a graph to Excel by clicking on "Chart in Excel."

How does it work? 🧐

To do this, simply hover over a card in your dashboard and click on the ellipsis (...). You will then see the option to "Chart in Excel." Once you've clicked on this option, you'll see that an Excel document starts downloading.

You can then open this in Excel and let the fun begin!

Why this is great πŸŽ‰

By exporting your Dashboard graphs to Excel, you have the power to:

  • Inspect the data behind these graphs and uncover significant trends and other insights

  • Apply custom formatting to suit your preferences

  • Change date ranges where necessary

  • Add additional information to the charts.

For instance, you may want to change the legends or the axis titles.

Simply put, this new feature makes your charts fully customizable. The sky is the limit when it comes to building and analyzing charts from your Dashboard.

Pro tip πŸ’‘: This option is available for embedded dashboards too.

Closing thoughts πŸ’

Dashboards provide beautiful and insightful visualizations for you to share with your team, clients, and stakeholders. Now, you can take this even further with the option to export charts to Excel. I hope you will enjoy this new feature, and let us know what you think.
