At Syft, we know how important it is to monitor your customers and receivables to assess where sales are going well and where there are areas for improvement. To streamline and simplify your sales analysis, we've introduced significant updates to the customer sales tables. These updates include moving Receivables to the Customers tab under Analyze and consolidating Sales and Multi-period views.

We've also refined the appearance of the table to tell a story about how your customers are contributing to sales. Additionally, we've introduced the capability to customize the view by adding or hiding specific columns, such as tax, refunds, discounts, and tags.

Changes to Comparison and Filtering Options

To make it easier to navigate comparisons in Customers, the option to view data 'versus prior' or 'versus prior last year' has moved from a button to a dropdown menu. We’ve also added a 'no comparison' option to simplify the table view and allow you to focus on current figures.

Table Column Functionality and Configuration

The table columns, such as 'details' (which shows the number of products sold and unique products) and 'number of sales', have been adjusted in appearance and functionality. Most of the columns now have stacked data based on the comparison you have selected so that you can see the comparative figures in the same view as your current figures.

Note 📝: The one exception to the rule of stacked data is for unique products. No data will be stacked here as these are unique figures.

Moreover, there is now an arrow to indicate whether a value has increased or decreased. It’s all in one place, making it super easy to understand the story of your customer sales.

And, as mentioned above, you now have the ability to include or exclude additional columns.

Drill-Down View Updates and Filter Removal

We've introduced static summary cards within the drill-down view, providing a quick summary of your total sales, total invoices, and total amount still due. Additionally, we have reordered the columns for a more logical presentation and removed unnecessary details.

Furthermore, to filter your table, you will now need to apply filters column by column instead of an overall table filter. This change was implemented to make it clearer when a filter is active.

Multi-Period View and Receivables Changes

We've simplified navigation by combining the 'sales' and 'multi-period' views. Previously separate tabs, you can now switch between these views using a button at the bottom of the 'sales' screen.

To maintain a cleaner interface, the 'outliers' filter and search functionality have been removed from the multi-period view.

The standard Sales view now includes static summary cards showing total customers, total number of sales, and total net revenue. The multi-period view remains largely the same, but now features 'highest' and 'lowest' summary cards. These cards include up/down arrows to indicate the highest and lowest period in the range for the relevant metric, helping you to keep track of the sales metrics that are moving the needle.

Similarly, the Receivables tab now provides static summary cards summarizing the current month and the last three months of data, helping you to assess changes or patterns in your receivables.

FX Exposures and View Options in Receivables

The display of FX exposures in receivables has been updated from a long grouping to a summarized block showing the currency pair and applied rate. In the normal settings view (not console), you can group by FX exposures, which performs the same function as the previous 'total' and 'FX' buttons.

Closing Thoughts

These updates are all about giving you greater clarity, more flexibility, and a smoother experience when analyzing your customers in Syft. By simplifying table views, refining comparisons, enhancing drill-downs, and consolidating multi-period and receivables functionality, we’ve removed complexity without taking away power. The result is a cleaner interface that surfaces insights faster, so you can spend less time navigating data and more time acting on it.

We’re continuing to refine these areas, so keep an eye out for more improvements. As always, we welcome your feedback as we build tools that help you understand your business with confidence.
