Curious about whether your staff has been using certain features of Syft or spending hours building reports? Meet activity logs. Activity logs help you track the activity of users within your organization while they use Syft.

Why we love this πŸ’™

This helps you see where your staff or team is spending their time, which reports they are generating, what features they find most beneficial, and which entities they have access to. In this way, you can monitor their work on Syft and ensure that they only have access to features and entities that suit their role.

Where can you find this? 🧐

To access activity logs, navigate to the settings menu at the top left of the screen using the drop-down arrow next to your profile icon. Then select "Activity logs" and you will see all the users connected to your organization, whether they've connected 2FA, and when they were last seen.

Note πŸ“: You will only be able to access this feature if you are an Owner or Admin.

Dive into the details 🀿

To uncover more granular details about a user's activity, click on "See activity." This will unlock a treasure trove of insights, including:

  • Downloads: reports downloaded, what they include, when they were downloaded, and how many times they were downloaded

  • Page Tracking: the pages visited, the last date they were visited, and how many times they were visited

  • Entity Access: which entities they have access to, the underlying provider of each entity, and the last date they accessed each entity

You can also drill down on the information by clicking on the arrow next to the entity name.

Pro tip πŸ’‘: While the default view for activity logs is the past 90 days, you can focus on more recent periods, such as the last 60 or 30 days.

Closing thoughts πŸ’

If you've ever wondered what your team actually does on Syft or which features they find most beneficial, then this is the feature for you. Try out activity logs today and let us know what you think.
