Loop animations - animations that play on repeat - are an integral part of digital design in 2024. From video games to social media, web design to interior design, they're everywhere - and for good reason. Looping your animation holds the viewer's attention without requiring them to watch a full video.

And now, you can loop animations in your Syft dashboards. Read on to learn how to harness this new tool.

How does it work? 🧐

If you want to loop an animation, the first step is, of course, to ensure that you have added an animation to your dashboard. To do this, navigate to "Add card" and select "Image" from the second dropdown selector. You can then drag and drop your animated image or upload it. Once it's uploaded, click "Create."

To activate the loop capability on the animation, simply toggle on the button with the play icon, and you are good to go. If you hover over this button, you will see it says "Loop animations."

Pro tip πŸ’‘: Use the GIF format for your animation.

Why we love this πŸ’™

A loop animation creates the illusion of endless action, captivating viewers' eyes from the first seconds. It's particularly useful if you wish to convey a specific product advantage or advertising motto, as it is more engaging than a still image.

In addition, looping a short animation is much less time-consuming than generating a lengthy video that could achieve a similar effect. So, adding a loop to your animated logo on your dashboard captures your viewer's attention without expending all your resources on a video.

Closing thoughts πŸ’

Whether you want to emphasize your brand identity or showcase a graph changing over time, you can now play this animation on repeat on your dashboard, and the possibilities are only a toggle away!
