We caught up with Katie Bryan from Propeller Advisory to find out how she integrated her practice with Syft Analytics.
Propeller Advisory was founded in 2016. Propeller Advisory has narrowed its client profiles from businesses in all industries, to professional services as this is in line with their advisory experience. Their service offering has expanded from only bookkeeping & CFO to all services except SMSF. The practice supports Xero accounting software.
In April the practice took a big downturn because of the large amount of free COVID-19 support work. Luckily, due to their pro-active approach, they have managed to generate new work over the past couple of months, despite the global pandemic. The Covid-19 crisis caused feelings of uncertainty among many of Propeller Advisory's clients, but they are now feeling very positive. Government stimulus has helped a lot of business owners.
We asked Katie a host of questions to see how their on-boarding with Syft progressed and why they chose Syft as the solution for their reporting requirements:
How many months/years have you been using Syft?
"2 years."
How long did it take you to get it set up and familiar with the feature set?
"1 month."
What was your reporting process before Syft?
"Our reporting process before Syft was very ad hoc utilising mostly Xero reports which did not show the level of detail that a Syft report would show. We tried other Xero add-ons but found them expensive and also over complicated. Syft is easy to set up and automate across the entire firm and our staff love it."
What problem or pain point were you trying to solve with Syft?
"Easy, quick, painless access to reporting for clients which we didn't need to charge an arm and a leg for."
Which features do you like the most and why?
"We love all of Syft reporting but especially love the benchmarking and commentary that comes with each report. Our client assumes it is us that has done the analysis."
Which feature do you believe your clients get the most value from?
"The graphical representation of their key numbers."
How do you use Syft and what benefits have you seen for your clients and your practice?
"We use it as monthly auto reporting to clients but also to facilitate monthly and quarterly board meetings with clients."
Do you charge your clients for Syft's report pack?
"No, it's a value add or marketing for us and helps us retain clients."
Did you look at other apps? Which ones and why did you choose Syft?
"No, we have not looked at any others since using Syft as it is cost effective and wonderful!"
