If you manage a large portfolio of clients in Syft’s Oversight screen, you know the drill: assigning Tags and People to entities one at a time works fine until you're dealing with hundreds of them. At that scale, it stops being a quick setup task and starts being a genuine barrier to keeping your Oversight views organised and current.
Bulk allocation of Tags and People has been one of the most requested features across Syft. You asked; we listened.
What's changed
You can now bulk allocate Tags and People in Oversight, alongside the existing single-allocation workflow. Use whichever fits the moment: single allocation for quick, one-off changes, or bulk allocation when you're setting up or reorganising at scale.
You can get to bulk allocation two ways:
Via the three-dot menu on the Tags or People column heading, or
Directly from a cell when you click to allocate.
Either route takes you to a bulk allocation matrix, with entities as rows and People or Tags as columns, so you can see and manage allocations across your entire portfolio in one view.
The matrix is designed to feel familiar if you've spent any time in Excel. Click and drag across rows or columns to select a range, or use shortcuts like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+R, Ctrl+D, and the spacebar to bulk select and deselect. Smart shading and a live counter keep track of what you've changed within a session, and every update flows straight through to your Oversight reports and downloads.
Supporting your business as it grows
Your portfolio today might be a fraction of the size it'll be in a year or two, and the tools you rely on need to keep pace with that growth rather than become a bottleneck to it. As our enterprise client base expands, we're committed to making sure Oversight scales alongside it, not just in the number of entities it can handle, but in how quickly and easily it can be configured and maintained.
This is one step toward a bigger goal: turning Oversight into the go-to tool for managing and monitoring a growing client portfolio.
