From inviting new staff to sending automated client reports, Syft handles a high volume of your essential communications. However, when an invitation goes unaccepted or a report goes unacknowledged, it’s often difficult to tell if the email was lost in a spam folder or simply overlooked.
With our new email status indicator, you no longer have to play the guessing game. You can now track whether your emails have been received, read, or bounced - giving you the clarity you need to follow up effectively.
Where to find your status updates 👀
You can monitor email delivery across three key areas in Syft:
Settings > Users: Here, you can see the email status of all users invited to your organization, including:
Email sent
Link clicked
Email bounced
Scheduled Reports: Here, you can see the status of an email that was sent according to schedule, with the following indicators:
Delivered
Email bounced (with the time and date when it bounced)
Events will display after next send (when it is waiting to send)
Analyze > Transactions > Clarify history: Here, you can see the status of clarification emails regarding ambiguous transactions, including:
Email delivered
Email bounced
Understanding the statuses 🧐
Wondering what each label means? Here's your answer:
Delivered: The email successfully reached the recipient's inbox.
Link clicked: The recipient has opened the email and interacted with the content.
Bounced: The email could not be delivered. This often happens due to a typo in the address, a full inbox, or server-side blocks.
What to do if an email bounces ❌
If an email bounces, it may be worth checking the email address you inputted to see if there were any typos. If the email address is correct, you may need to reach out to its intended recipient to determine whether:
their inbox is full
their email server is temporarily unavailable
the email has landed in their spam folder
This will also help you ensure that future emails go through to them seamlessly.
