Just as the dashboard in your car gives you a clear indication of how well your car is performing - letting you know how fast you are driving or when you're going to run out of fuel - your business dashboard gives you a clear sense of how well your business is performing. The dashboard helps you make visual sense of what's happening in your business - from how your sales are doing to how much cash is coming into and out of the organization. And it helps you monitor trends and share them with your team, stakeholders, or investors in real-time.
While creating a fully customized dashboard can be a powerful experience, sometimes the sheer range of options can be overwhelming, leaving you wondering where you should even begin. Our latest feature release answers this problem.
Meet Dashboard Templates - prebuilt dashboard that help speed up the process of creating dashboards for your organization. Whether you want to focus on your overall performance, cash, or sales, we've got you covered. Let's have a look at what templates we have on offer and how you can make the most of these.
Add a template β
Getting started with templates is simple. To add a template, navigate to Visualize > Dashboard and click on the + icon. You can then choose from any of the following:
Business performance: this provides key performance metrics to help you assess your business's overall health. It includes indicators such as net profit, operating expense (OPEX) ratio, cash balance, and expenses, giving you a clear view of strengths and areas for potential improvement within your organization.
Cash overview: this gives you a clear snapshot of your business's cash status, detailing available cash, outstanding receivables from debtors, and payable amounts to creditors. This comprehensive view helps you better understand your cash inflows and outflows so you can act decisively to improve your cash management.
Sales tracker: this provides a comprehensive view of your customer and product data, allowing you to identify active and new customers, growth in product sales, and opportunities to enhance sales or improve the customer experience.
Start from scratch: the traditional dashboard option where you can build your own view from the ground up, choosing metrics from financials, customers and products, KPI scorecards, connections, and more.

Building on templates βοΈ
A template is a pre-designed format that serves as a foundation for your dashboard. While each template contains certain metrics by default, remember that this is just the start. If you'd like to add anything to your dashboard, you can always click "Add card" to augment what you're seeing.
You can also change the layout of your dashboard by adjusting the number of columns, toggling on graph animations, and clicking the little cog icon in the top right-hand corner of any card to change the details within that individual card. With the cog icon, you can change:
The card size
Graph type
Comparison options
The number of periods displayed
The graph color
You can also hover over the top left corner of each card to see the series of dots that you can click on to drag and drop a card into a new position.
Pro Tip π‘: To make the most out of your dashboard, try the AI button at the bottom of each card for insights into what that card represents.
Which templates are available on which plans? π§
Here are the dashboard templates that are available to you depending on your plan:
Advanced: build unlimited dashboards, choosing from all possible templates
Plus: build up to three dashboards, choosing from Cash Overview, Business Performance, and Start from scratch
Standard: build one dashboard, using either the Business Performance template or Start from scratch option
