A few months ago, we introduced KPI Scorecards to help you measure your business's performance and compare it to budgets, forecasts, or specific targets over time. This week, we've updated several other Syft features to incorporate KPI Scorecards so that you can access this powerful tool across the board. Let's unpack what this looks like.

KPI Scorecards in Visualize πŸ“Š

We've updated KPI graphs under Visualize > KPIs & Accounts, so you can use KPI Scorecards here. This empowers you to visualize custom metrics from any of your custom KPI Scorecards.

How does this work? 🧐

Simply select the "Graph data" button and choose the relevant KPI Scorecard you'd like to use as a base. Then, you can choose one or multiple KPIs from that scorecard and the number of periods you want to see represented on the graph. And presto! The KPIs from your scorecard will pull through in beautiful graphical form.

KPI Scorecards in Budgets and Forecasts 🌀️

If you navigate to Budget or 4-Way Forecast under Forecast, you will see that KPIs have been replaced with KPI Scorecards. This means that you can now budget or forecast custom metrics from your scorecards without having to rebuild any KPIs. So, in effect, you can build multiple budget scorecards, including the specific KPIs that you want to focus on.

How does this work? 🧐

If you create a budget or forecast, you will see that one of the tabs at the top of the screen now says "KPI Scorecards." If you open this tab, you'll find a drop-down selector where you can choose the specific KPI Scorecard you would like to use in your budget or forecast. You can then include these budgeted or forecasted KPIs in your reports.

Closing thoughts πŸ’

With the introduction of our robust KPI Scorecards feature, we are phasing out some of our legacy KPI features in favor of this new and improved approach. This means you'll have more customizable budgets and forecasts and be able to visualize the exact metrics that you want to zero in on. So, why not give it a go?
